Product information
Concentrated water-repellent for façades. Solvent base.
- Concentrated water-repellent.
- Optimal protection and durability.
- Invisible finish.
- Excellent “pearl” effect.
- For medium-high absorption supports.
Hidrosol is a water-repellent protector a high concentration solvent-based solution, designed to give the materials on which it is applied a high repellency to water without modifying their appearance. It is formulated using state-of-the-art silicon compounds that are highly resistant to weather and UV rays, components that provide the product with excellent durability and penetration capacity in the support. Due to the optimal balance between its components, it does not yellow or crack throughout its useful life.
Hidrosol, after being applied, generates a protective barrier that prevents water absorption by the material. Thus, its use eliminates the appearance of problems caused by water and atmospheric agents, such as: dampness, efflorescence, mold or verdigris, among others. Because Hidrosol prevents the supports from containing a high degree of moisture, it contributes positively to the thermal insulation of buildings, as it reduces the heat transfer coefficient of the support.
The protection generated by Hidrosol does not modify the appearance of the surface, since its 100% chemical mode of action preserves the porosity and breathability of the material, so it does not generate water condensation inside the house.
Hidrosol can be applied to any building material, as long as it is absorbent, has a medium-high degree of porosity and a minimum slope of 3%. For example:
- Natural stone.
- Cement.
- Concrete.
- Mortar.
- Masonry.
- Brick.
- Fiber cement.
- Etc.
Fields of application
Hidrosol can be used to confer water-repellent properties on: facades, roofs, terraces or roofs, among others, composed of tiles, concrete, natural stone, fibre cement… etc.
How to apply
Hidrosol is a ready-to-use product, so does not require dilution prior to use. Before applying Hidrosol, it must be checked that the substrate is completely consolidated or set, completely dry (H.R.< 4%), free of dust, dirt, oils, efflorescence and at a temperature between 5 and 35ºC. Likewise, in case of joints or unsealed fissures, repair the surface.
Next, apply Hidrosol using an airless gun, low-pressure sprayer, brush or roller, applying two layers of product following the wet-on-wet methodology. To do this, the second layer of product must be applied while the first one is still wet.
Subsequently, leave it on and dry. It is strongly recommended to apply the product in a period without rain. If there is a probability of these within 24 hours of their application, the treatment must be protected to prevent premature deterioration.
