Incruscal is a concentrated descaler and deoxidizer cleaner of an acidic nature, specifically developed for the removal of limescale, sludge and rust in closed circuits of heating and cooling water, metal surfaces of boilers and, in general, in any land or naval installation where rapid and effective descaling is required.

Its formulation, based on inorganic acids activated with surfactants and emulsifiers, generates a double action. On the one hand, its acidic components solubilize the sludge and destroy the scale by chemical attack. In this way, the incrustations, initially insoluble in water, are broken down and converted into CO2 and water-soluble salts. On the other hand, the surfactants in its composition emulsify the dirt and detached particles, preventing them from being deposited again on the walls of the pipes.

In addition, Incruscal also incorporates corrosion inhibitors, so that at the doses of use it does not attack the materials usually used in this type of installation, such as: copper, stainless steel or gaskets present in pumps and/or control instrumentation.

Incruscal is a concentrated product, so its concentration can be adjusted according to the type and amount of scale and sludge present, which optimizes its consumption and reduces cleaning costs.

Application

Incruscal is used as a professional descaler in closed circuits industrial industries such as:

  • Boilers.
  • Cooling towers.
  • Heat exchangers.
  • Bombs.
  • Heating systems.
  • Steam cleaning machines.
  • Washing trains.
  • Etc.

How to use

Incruscal is a concentrated product, so it must be diluted before being used. For its use, it is recommended to follow the following instructions:

  1. Calculate the volume of the appliance or installation to be cleaned.
  2. Calculate the required amount of Incruscal descaler that will be needed. As a guideline, if the thickness of the inlay is 3-5 mm, the recommended Incruscal: Water ratio would be 1:3 (1 litre of Incruscal for every 3 litres of water).
  3. Remove the water from the circuit that we are going to replace with Incruscal and add it. (To improve cleaning efficiency, it is recommended not to add the entire amount in a single dose, but to add it in incremental parts. For example: Add 1/4 of the calculated amount of product and allow 30-60 minutes to elapse. Then add another 1/4 of the descaler and allow another 30-60 minutes to elapse. Next, add another 1/4 of the descaler and allow another 30-60 minutes to elapse. Finally, add the last 1/4 of the descaler and allow at least another 30-60 minutes to elapse).
  4. Once all the product has been added, let it act by recirculation until it is observed that the circuit has been completely clean. (A pH measurement of the cleaning solution may be performed as a check. If after performing the cleaning cycle the pH of the solution is less than 3, it indicates that there is a remnant Incruscal in the system and therefore the scales have been removed. If, on the other hand, the pH is 7 or higher, more Incruscal should be added and a new cleaning cycle should be performed).
  5. Finally, remove the cleaning solution from the system and rinse with clean water to remove all debris. (The pH of the water in the system should not be less than 7, otherwise perform a new rinse cycle.)

IMPORTANT: CO2 is formed in the process of dissolving the scales, so it is essential to keep the vent valves or traps open throughout the process so that overpressures are not generated in the system.
