Description Lubricating Fluid

Colourless, low-viscosity siliconised non-stick lubricant, slip and non-stick.

  • Contains silicones.
  • Colorless.
  • Antistatic.
  • Excellent anti-humidity properties.
  • High penetrating capacity.
  • Multipurpose lubricant.

Lubrisil is a lubricating, slip-resistant and non-stick fluid, free of mineral oil or grease, formulated from silicones and solvent-based adjuvants, designed to be used in light lubrication, protection and demolding tasks.

Due to its composition, Lubrisil is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, providing lubrication, protection, conservation and insulation against moisture, as it is not soluble in water. Lubrisil also offers long-lasting wear protection and nourishes plastics and rubbers, restoring their initial appearance and flexibility.

Additionally, due to the high penetrating and wetting capacity of Lubrisil, its use on non-absorbent hard surfaces adds shine and gives the materials antistatic properties, remaining dust-free for longer.

Based on these characteristics, Lubrisil has wide possibilities of use, especially in work areas where lubricants with oil or grease are not desired, as well as where these would hinder further processing of the treated part or surface.

Fields of application lubricating fluid

The special characteristics of Lubrisil make it particularly effective for use as a multipurpose product in light lubrication, protection against water and dust, as well as in demoulding processes, due to its non-stick nature.

For example:

  • In the automotive sector: It restores color, nourishes and adds shine when used on plastic and rubber parts such as: bumpers, radiator grilles, spoilers, moldings or vinyl roofs, so they do not become brittle. Rubber parts of doors, canopies or radiator hoses, among others, do not become brittle and do not freeze together. It also ensures smooth travel on sunroof rails and seats, seat belt rollers, etc. Likewise, applied to the dashboard and door panels, it prevents squeaks and creaks from rubbing between different materials, such as metal-plastic, wood-plastic, etc.
  • In the industrial sector: It provides lubrication and facilitates the assembly of flexible tube joints and joints, protects electrical contacts against moisture, as an aid in the assembly of plastic or composite parts, lubrication of plastic moving parts, maintenance of vending machines, lubrication of conveyor belts of polymeric materials, etc.

Physicochemical Characteristics of lubricating fluid

APPEARANCE DENSITY VISCOSITY (100ºC / 40ºC) FREEZING POINT FLASH POINT
Light, colourless, oily liquid with a characteristic odour. 0.81 ± 0.01 kg/l (20ºC) —-/2 cSt -15 ºC max. 46 ºC min.

Lubricating fluid application mode

Spray Lubrisil on the part or surface to be treated, ensuring that a thin and uniform layer is deposited. Then, depending on the use of the product, it may be advisable to rub with a dry cloth to remove excess product and/or harmonize the resulting shine.

Lubricating fluid recommendations

Lubrisil includes silicones in its composition, so it should not be applied near painting areas. It should also not be sprayed on food or machinery parts that are in direct contact with it. In these cases, it is advisable to use Lubri Atox or Lubri Atox H1. In addition, aerosols should be kept away from sources of heat, sparks, or flames.
