Fast-reacting rust converter which transforms the oxidized surface into a metal-organic black/bluish complex, neutralizing the corrosion process and preventing it from oxidizing again over time.
Conver ox is a rust-converting primer, based on rust inhibitors and converters, adhesion-enhancing compounds and specifically selected resins, which neutralizes the corrosion process of ferrous metals and steel acting as a preventive primer against future oxidation problems.
Its application generates, at first, a whitish layer, which acquires a bluish-black finish when it reacts with the rust, fixing it to the surface and inhibiting its subsequent oxidation. In this way, Conver ox forms a protective barrier against future oxidation and corrosion problems the metal oxide of the surface itself, this is what is called: Metal passivation.
The protective layer generated by Conver ox is fully suitable for repainting, and a protective finish enamel can be applied after drying. For this reason, Conver ox avoids previous brushing or sanding work to remove rust.
Conver OX can also be applied to surfaces that have been sandblasted to prevent rust caused by some water-based paints or primers.
It is ideal for application on all types of iron or steel surfaces, from metal carpentry of all kinds, such as: doors, windows, railings, railings… etc., automotive, such as: bodies and metal parts of cars, trucks, agricultural machinery… etc., industrial maintenance, such as: tanks, cooling towers, radiators, boilers, metal structures… etc. or even in domestic applications, such as doors, fences or metal furniture, among others.
Conver ox is supplied ready to use, so it does not need to be diluted before application.
If the treated surface is to be painted with a finishing topcoat, allow at least 48 hours to elapse to ensure the correct drying of the treatment. The treatment is compatible with any subsequent paint or primer.
