{"id":1916,"date":"2019-05-13T11:55:49","date_gmt":"2019-05-13T09:55:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/neoquimnew.local\/producto\/rust-converting-primer\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T11:49:55","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T09:49:55","slug":"rust-converting-primer","status":"publish","type":"nq_producto","link":"https:\/\/esquineo.web46.com.es\/en\/product\/rust-converting-primer\/","title":{"rendered":"Rust-converting primer"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>CONVER OX<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Fast-reacting rust converter<\/strong> which transforms the oxidized surface into a metal-organic black\/bluish complex, neutralizing the corrosion process and preventing it from oxidizing again over time.<\/p>\n<h3>Rust converter<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ready to use.<\/li>\n<li>Fast drying.<\/li>\n<li>Labour savings.<\/li>\n<li>Long-lasting protection.<\/li>\n<li>Suitable as a primer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conver ox is a rust-converting primer<\/strong>, based on rust inhibitors and converters, adhesion-enhancing compounds and specifically selected resins, which neutralizes the corrosion process of ferrous metals and steel acting as a preventive primer against future oxidation problems.<\/p>\n<p>Its application generates, at first, a whitish layer, which acquires a bluish-black finish when it reacts with the rust, fixing it to the surface and inhibiting its subsequent oxidation. In this way, <strong>Conver ox forms a protective barrier<\/strong> against future oxidation and corrosion problems the metal oxide of the surface itself, this is what is called: <strong>Metal passivation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The protective layer generated by Conver ox is fully suitable for repainting, and a protective finish enamel can be applied after drying. For this reason, Conver ox avoids previous brushing or sanding work to remove rust.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conver OX<\/strong> can also be applied to surfaces that have been sandblasted to prevent rust caused by some water-based paints or primers.<\/p>\n<h3>Fields of application<\/h3>\n<p>It is ideal for application on all types of iron or steel surfaces, from metal carpentry of all kinds, such as: doors, windows, railings, railings&#8230; etc., automotive, such as: bodies and metal parts of cars, trucks, agricultural machinery&#8230; etc., industrial maintenance, such as: tanks, cooling towers, radiators, boilers, metal structures&#8230; etc. or even in domestic applications, such as doors, fences or metal furniture, among others.<\/p>\n<h3>How to apply<\/h3>\n<p>Conver ox is supplied ready to use, so <strong>it does not need to be diluted before application<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Before applying Conver ox, it is recommended to shake the container to completely homogenize the entire contents of the container.<\/li>\n<li>Next, clean the surface with water and detergent, to remove all the dirt present, which would prevent the product from acting correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Next, remove the particles of loose rust, as well as the remains of paint or previous treatments by light brushing, sanding or shot blasting.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, on the dry film, apply Conver ox by brush, roller, airless or gun.
