This type of procedure uses chemical compositions that, in addition to cleaning, eliminate the majority of germs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion_builder_column_1_1 fusion-builder-column-2 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last 1_1\">\n<div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\" data-bg-url=\"\">\n<div class=\"fusion-text\">\n<p>It should be noted that <strong>the disinfection process should generally be complementary to the cleaning process<\/strong>, as disinfectant compounds show greater antimicrobial activity when surfaces have been previously cleaned.<\/p>\n<p>To optimize the use of this type of product, the following considerations should be taken into account:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fusion-text\">\n<ul>\n<li><u>Disinfection is not a substitute for cleaning<\/u>; when there is visible dirt on a surface, the correct approach is to clean first and then proceed to disinfect properly.<\/li>\n<li>Disinfectants <u>act through direct contact<\/u>, so they only act on the surface or environment where they have been applied.<\/li>\n<li>They require a <u>minimum contact time<\/u> that typically ranges between 5 and 10 minutes.
